PLC-Multipoint makes four styles of sensors using two different detection technologies. Our indoor, outdoor,

atrium and skylight sensors are optimized in their ranges and focus to look at light in and around different locations

of buildings. Our sensors detect light using low cost photo-conductive or more precise photo-diode elements (PC or PD series). Both PC and PD photo sensors can be used with PLC-Multipoint controllers. Our PC sensors are no longer be available for sale, but literature is still available for download.

COMMERCIAL ACCESSORIES - SENSORS

MAS Sensor   The MAS is a light level sensor. The sensor is powered by 24VDC and provides a 4-20mA analog signal. The MAS is factory calibrated to a range of 100 - 5,000 FC. The MAS comes in many style of sensors housing, which includes; Indoor, Outdoor, Atrium and Skylight.

MAS-CAL The MAS-CAL is the field calibration unit for the MAS sensor. It is designed to operate off of either 9V battery or external 24VAC power supply. The MAS-CAL provides the MAS sensor with power from either source. The MAS-CAL is used to view the settings of the MAS sensor and be able to halve or double the factory set full scale range of the sensor and be able to double or reset to zero the factory set timing. The MAS-CAL works with all MAS sensors, even when each has different factory settings because all of the changes are relative to the factory preset values.

CES Sensor   The CES belongs to a family of sensors that monitor either task or ambient light levels precisely. The light level measured is converted to an analog signal that is sent to the controller of the Energy Management System (EMS). The CES allows the Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning Energy Management System (HVAC/EMS) to control area lighting by switching banks of lights on and off, or provide continuous signals to electronic dimming ballasts for fluorescent fixtures.

PD Sensor   The PLC-MULTIPOINT PD is a Class 2, low voltage light sensor designed to provide input to PLC-MULTIPOINT controllers. PD sensor models are available in a wide variety of light sensing ranges and housing styles. The PD allows the PLC-MULTIPOINT controllers to switch banks of lights on and off, or provide continuous signals to electronic dimming ballasts for fluorescent fixtures.
