The roots of our innovation.
In the 1980s, Fred Blake, created the very first photosensor. He founded Multipoint Control and patented his sensor design. Fred sold his company to his friend and colleague Fred Dittmann, who was operating a controls manufacturing company at the time. In 1991, Fred Dittmann formed PLC Multipoint, which he operated together with his son Norm. Today, PLC Multipoint’s products and services reach a wide range of markets, serving a multitude of customers. Our Sensors, Buildings, and Transportation Divisions have each been serving various market segments and our customer base for over 30 years.

From its inception, PLC Multipoint has focused on creativity and innovation in its product development. Unlike many of our competitors, we manufacture all of our products in the USA in an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standard-registered facility and a UL508A Panel Shop, enabling us to deliver products of the highest quality all over the world.
